HOMO AMOR
In 2016 Unique Self theory is placed at the center of an emergent World Spirituality worldview articulated by Marc Gafni, Zak Stein, Barbara Marx Hubbard, and colleagues, which they refer to as “Cosmo Erotic Humanism. At the core of this new worldview, is the notion of the new human and the new humanity, termed by Gafni, Stein, Hubbard, and colleagues as Homo Amor, the fulfillment of Homo Sapiens. Unique Self theory in its latest iteration is the crucial linchpin at the heart of Homo Amor.
- 2017 – Homo Amor: Dr. Gafni begins sharing articulations, which were first developed in 2013 and 14 through the Outrageous Love teachings, around what he began to call Homo Amor. Homo Amor is an articulation of the vision of the new human and the new humanity, Homo Amor as the fulfillment of Homo Sapiens. It integrates the original Unique Self theory teaching with the Outrageous Love and Eros teachings, bringing these three distinct parts into a larger whole. In other words, the Outrageous Love, Eros, Whole Mate, Unique Self, and Unique Self Symphony teachings, integrated together birth the vision of the new human, and a new humanity emerges. – Homo Amor, the fulfillment of Homo Sapiens.
- 2018 – CosmoErotic Humanism: Dr. Gafni, Dr. Stein, and Barbara Marx Hubbard re-articulate all of the earlier pieces of the Dharma that had been gradually emerging since 2009, as Cosmo Erotic Humanism. At the core of CosmoErotic Humanism is Unique Self Theory.
- Summer of 2019 – Anthro-Ontology: Dr. Gafni in collaboration with Dr. Stein formulated the first written articulation of Anthro-Ontology and what they called Evolving Perennialism. Anthro-Ontology explains the method by which core tenets in the dharma from Unique Self to the Tenets of Intimacy are formulated as a genuine structure of the universe and not mere fictions or social construction of reality. [Part of this book was lost in a computer snafu and is now being completed -slated for publication in early 2022.
- 2019, 2020 and 2021 – Dr. Gafni works on completing three books that he began with Barbara Marx Hubbard before her passing: The Intimate Universe ( volume 1 – 2 and 3), and The Future of Relationships; From Role Mate to Soul Mate to Whole Mate. The first two volumes of The Intimate Universe deepen the integration of Unique Self, Homo Amor, and Cosmo Erotic humanism and contain for the first time the Eros formula, the Intimacy Formulas, and their relationship to Unique Self teaching. The third book which we referred to above, contains key new formulations of Unique Self and evolutionary unique self.
- 2020 – 2021 – First Principles and First Values: Right after formulating Anthro-Ontology Gafni and Stein turned their attention to several key issues that needed to be addressed before turning to the core Homo Amor writing.
- The first project is what they are now calling Evolving First Value and First Principles. A new essay/ book is being written between Sept 2020 and June 2021 by that name.
- Concurrent with First Values and First Principles, another key monograph book is being written by Gafni and Stein [ slated for release in late 2021] tentatively titled: From Techno-Feudalism to Digital Intimacy; From Skinner to the MIT Media Lab to Facebook and Beyond. The book discusses why We Need First Value and FirstPrinciples in the Design of the Digital to triumph Over Existential Risk.
- A third monograph is being prepared by Dr. Gafni in collaboration with Dr. Stein and Dr. Venu Julapalli tentative titled from Global Intimacy Disorder to First Principles and First Values as the Ground for the New Story; Responding to Existential Risk
- A fourth monograph is being prepared by Dr. Gafni and Dr. Stein as part of the Anthro-Ontology project entitled Facing Beyond Death; Anthro-Ontological Intimation of Immortality.
A Projected Future Unique Self Publications:
- The key Unique Self writing and the downloading of Unique Self theory into the source codes of culture and consciousness is yet to come. This is the purpose of the Unique Self Institute and its sister organizations.

“Not only do you have a fingerprint, but you also have a soul print.” In the soul prints book, Gafni explicitly coined the term Unique Self and talks about Soul Print not as a typology of ego, but as an expression of clarified [ enlightened ] essence.
Numerous dialog partners have contributed to the unfolding of the Integral phase of Unique Self of which Ken Wilber, Sally Kempton and Diane Hamilton were the primary. In 2011 Ken Wilber called Gafni’s Unique Self a “new chapter in Integral theory”.
Since 2012 the Unique Self Theory has been evolved by Gafni and colleagues as the most accurate narrative of contemporary identity which integrates the best of premodern modern and postmodern thought.
